- Born in West Germany, he was a rockabilly singer-guitarist dubbed, Handsome Ned. In Canada, during the 1970s, he entrenched himself as an eclectic alternative artist with a country western music slant that incorporates both reggae and rockabilly. He was in dozens of projects including fronting the band The Sidewinders and playing guitar with the Hayseed Hellions, The Valours, The Running Kind, as well as performing with Toronto reggae legend Mohjah. In the 1980s, he performed at festivals, had his own Toronto radio program "The Honky Tonk Hardwood Floor Show", was the subject of a TV documentary called 'The Ballad Of Handsome Ned' in 1985 and appeared in a Molson Beer commercial in 1986. He died in Toronto, Canada.
